Restaurant MOOII is located on the charming Gelderseplein in the historic Old Harbor of Rotterdam. Since the very beginning, MOOII has been a favorite place for lovers of good food without too much fuss, in a friendly Rotterdam atmosphere. In addition to the homely à la carte restaurant, MOOII has a beautiful terrace and a separate room with a capacity of 10 to 150 people for private lunches, drinks, dinners, meetings and parties.
Chef Gerard van Gelderen's kitchen proves that gourmet dishes don't have to be too complicated. The basis of the kitchen is French with influences from all over the world. Where possible, the kitchen brigade works with sustainable and organic seasonal products.
We work with vegetables from beautiful local addresses, fish directly from the auction in Yerseke, Grottenham from South Limburg, Clare Valley Gold beef from Australia and organic olive oil from Greece. In view of the quality we strive for, we prefer to work with smaller producers.

For more than 20 years, the owners of Restaurant MOOII; maître Thijs van den Bergh and chef Gerard van Gelderen a successful catering couple. Once started as youngsters in the theater restaurant of Delfshaven, they have been managing MOOII for years with an unprecedented passion for culinary dining in a warm and at the same time modern ambiance.
